Our Giving

Gender Lens Australia is deeply committed to giving to projects that support the advancement and wellbeing of women, non-binary & LGBTIQ+ people.  Below are some of the organisations that we support.

EMILY's List Australia

We support the election of progressive, pro-choice women Members of Parliament. Our donations helped establish the Julia Gillard Next Generation Internship Program.

Her Place Women's Museum - Feminist Reading Room

We make an annual donation to help Her Place Museum build the biggest library of feminist children's literature and history books in the Southern Hemisphere.

Love Your Sister, Olivia Newton John Wellness & Peter MacCallum Cancer Centres & More

We support research and innovation into cancer treatment and wellness, especially for women. We've lost too many of our feminist friends and mentors to this disease, especially breast cancer. It's personal.

Lifeline

We know gender equity advocates face backlash to their work. For many of us, the pursuit of gender equity is based on lived experience of discrimination trauma and sexual harassment. That's why we also give to organisations that support women's mental health. When things got tough for Tanja a few years back, she made use of Lifeline. She's never forgotten them.

Lifeline

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands and waterways of Australia and pay our respect to Elders past and present. We commit our organisation to truth-telling, treaty and justice, beginning with voices of First Nations people in Parliaments across Australia.
